How to Make Sugar Cane Juice at Home

Sugarcane contains sucrose as well as several other nutritional substances that make our body healthy. In particular, sugar cane is famous especially during summer season and is identified as the healthiest drinks that supply enough energy to the body. Sugar cane juice is also rich in zinc, cobalt, chromium, magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, and more.

Ingredients to Prepare 2 Glasses

  • 2 stick of Sugar Cane (medium sized)
  • Half cup of water
  • Strainer or a small piece of Muslin cloth
  • Small Piece of ginger (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon of lemon

Steps to Make Sugar Cane Juice

Step 1: Take the fresh sugarcanes and wash it.

Step 2: Peel the outer layer of the sugar cane with sharp knife. Be careful while peeling the layer because it is hard enough comparing to other fruits. If available, buy fresh peeled sugarcanes.

Step 3: Cut the sugarcane into small pieces.

Note: Make sure the size are not more than an inch as your blender might not handle long pieces. Keep in mind as sugarcane is hard in nature, this might damage or break your blender knives.

Step 4: Take a blender and blend sugarcane pieces adding half a cup of water and ginger (optional). You may also use a normal juicer. Now separate the juice from sugarcane pieces using strainer or muslin cloth.

Note: If you feel the juice is not properly extracted, You can blend the same sugarcane pieces again adding a little amount of water.

Step 5: You can enjoy the juice chilled after refrigeration also. Add a tablespoon of lemon or sugar according to the taste required. You can also add some ice cubes before serving to preserve the chill and enjoy the drink. Remember that you are getting multiple benefits from his juice.
